Presented by LUMA ART FESTIVAL 2026
THRESHOLD is an immersive installation that explores light as a sculptural medium. A projected beam interacts with water, transforming into an evolving field of caustic light that extends into the surrounding space. Shaped by reflection and movement, the work shifts between clarity and abstraction, creating an environment that feels both material and ephemeral.
Visitors are free to move through the installation, experiencing the light from its source to its reflections. As their bodies interrupt, reshape, and animate the illuminated field, they become part of an ever-changing relationship between light, space, perception, and presence.
By transforming a simple beam into an immersive spatial experience, THRESHOLD invites a heightened awareness of how light defines the spaces we inhabit.
